Greg Mably

Greg Mably (1960) is a Toronto-based illustrator with a roster of prominent clients including the National Audubon Society, The New York Times, Newsweek, Time, Fast Company, Harvard Business Review, and The Wall Street Journal. His work combines a geometrical simplicity drawn from architecture and graphic design with a fondness for exuberant color, often influenced by sixties pop art. But this isn’t always what he wanted to be when he grew up. He dropped out of art school to be a musician, and played guitar in rock bands. Five years later, a chance encounter with an illustration annual made him want to create visual art again. “Looking at that gave me the same sensation—the exhilaration—that I felt when I played music.”
