Stella Maria Baer
Stella Maria Baer (1981) describes herself as a Southwestern artist living in the Northeast. She spent her early years waiting to escape Santa Fe, New Mexico, and—when she finally made her way north and east to Connecticut—she would only return to visit her family. It was years later that several road trips through the southwest led her to fall in love with her origins and recognize that part of the country as her spiritual home. When she returned to the desert, she found her own unique vision in its lines, colors and spaces, which she now explores in both photography and painting.
